請問(4)中的"the dark of the moon"指的是什麼意思呢?

回答第3題:the dark of the moon應是指月亮看不到的時候,中秋十五「滿月」時是月亮看到完整時;「新月」則是月亮走在太陽和地球
中間時,所以沒有反射的陽光讓我們看到月亮,此即指the dark of the moon。

這兒的意思應是野獸給予beauty一定的時間回家去和老爸見面,在新月前要記得回來。

4."The moon is on the Wane" 查出來wane指的是月虧的意思,但還是不是很懂它在表達什麼。Beast究竟給
Beauty多少時間回家探親呢?

回答第4題:the moon is in the wane是指月亮從滿月漸漸地變小了,應是指快要到the dark of the moon的期
限了。

至於月亮每個月變化分兩個部分,初一到十五是從無到小到滿月,十六到月底應是從滿到小到無,此處是指農曆。

若Beast讓她回家是初一,那應是有一個月的期限,若是初十出發,應有二十天左右的時間,到底有多少時間回家?端視Beauty是在那一天出發才能算
得出來。

我是這樣想:
主人發現馬兒害怕不願向古堡前進避風雨
  但還有什麼狀況會比這暴風雨夜待在外面更可怕的呢?
所以他不解馬兒到底怕什麼  所以說“天知道“
就自行走向古堡大門
所以  或可這麼說:
“真不知道這可憐的馬到底怕什麼? 還有比現在(今晚)更糟的情況嗎?“
