請問(4)中的"the dark of the moon"指的是什麼意思呢?

回答第3題：the dark of the moon應是指月亮看不到的時候，中秋十五「滿月」時是月亮看到完整時；「新月」則是月亮走在太陽和地球
中間時，所以沒有反射的陽光讓我們看到月亮，此即指the dark of the moon。

這兒的意思應是野獸給予beauty一定的時間回家去和老爸見面，在新月前要記得回來。

4."The moon is on the Wane" 查出來wane指的是月虧的意思，但還是不是很懂它在表達什麼。Beast究竟給
Beauty多少時間回家探親呢?

回答第４題：the moon is in the wane是指月亮從滿月漸漸地變小了，應是指快要到the dark of the moon的期
限了。

至於月亮每個月變化分兩個部分，初一到十五是從無到小到滿月，十六到月底應是從滿到小到無，此處是指農曆。

若Beast讓她回家是初一，那應是有一個月的期限，若是初十出發，應有二十天左右的時間，到底有多少時間回家?端視Beauty是在那一天出發才能算
得出來。

我是這樣想：
主人發現馬兒害怕不願向古堡前進避風雨
  但還有什麼狀況會比這暴風雨夜待在外面更可怕的呢？
所以他不解馬兒到底怕什麼  所以說“天知道“
就自行走向古堡大門
所以  或可這麼說：
“真不知道這可憐的馬到底怕什麼？ 還有比現在（今晚）更糟的情況嗎？“
